The government school in Pillangiri, Shivamogga Rural, was developed and named Sharath Bhoopalam Karnataka Public School in memory of the late young entrepreneur Shri Sharath Bhoopalam, with support from Round Table India 166 Shivamogga and donors. The inauguration took place on Sunday.

The inauguration ceremony of the newly constructed commercial shops and the self-employment building for the Women's Self-Help Group at the Mallapura Gram Panchayat in Shivamogga Taluk was conducted. The event was graced by MLC Balkish Banur, along with the president, vice-president, members of the taluk and gram panchayat, and local villagers.
