Union Minister for Steel and Heavy Industries, State President of the Janata Dal (Secular), and former Chief Minister of Karnataka, H.D. Kumaraswamy, is scheduled to visit Shivamogga on September 5. In anticipation of this visit, a preliminary meeting was held today at the Shivamogga District Janata Dal (Secular) office, chaired by Dr. Kadidal Gopal, the District President of Janata Dal Shivamogga. The meeting was attended by members of the JDS State Core Committee, former Shivamogga MLA Prasanna Kumar, and various party leaders.
