HD Revanna was born on December 17, 1957 in Haradanahalli, Hassan. He studied SSL. Revanna, who learned the folds of politics from his father Deve Gowda, learned religious devotion, worship and penance from his mother Chennamma. Revanna was interested in politics in his childhood. Get along with everyone. He was shaped as a hero by the qualities of bursting out when injustice was done. After many struggles and getting senior mentors, he climbed the steps of politics step by step.
In 1994, HD Revanna contested the election. He stood for election in Holenarasipur Vidhan Sabha constituency and won. He undertook various development works with the highest grant for the field. As a result of this, he contested again in 1999 from Holenarasipur and won. In 2004, he contested the elections again and achieved a hat-trick of victories. In 2004, the JDS-backed Congress came to power. The PW minister served in the government headed by Dharamsingh. Also in 2004, Revanna served as Public Works Minister in the Kumaraswamy-led government.
Revanna served as the President of the State Milk Producers Association for nine years and brought about a lot of change in KMF. He initiated various schemes for the farmers.Revanna is credited with taking the loss-making KMF to profit. Whenever the JDS party faces difficulties, he lends his shoulder and works tirelessly to solve them.
